Who we are
Citizen-activists are a community of Americans committed to forging a novel form of our native exceptionalism. We will continue to be that shining city upon a hill, but we will redefine whom that vision encompasses and what we must do to create and nurture it.
We’re not pushing for a do-over in America, but instead for a do-better. We remember the best of what we’ve been, but we believe we can reach higher – much higher. Our goal is to build on our formative aspiration – to amplify and advance our original ambition as a nation. We seek to establish a Second American Founding.
Ironically, the only way we can create this entirely new reality in America is by taking the Founders not simply at their word, but also at their hopes for an ever-more perfect union. To that end, we are engaged in a campaign to establish the first noble democracy in history. We work every day to assemble a community that recognizes the dignity and purpose of every human being and the duty we share in preserving and protecting our home planet and the cosmos beyond.
Citizen-activism, therefore, encompasses not only our acts to address the Technological and Climatic Singularities, but also the effort we make to expand our numbers. We are a new wave of American settlers without the evil of slavery or the degradation of Native Americans, and we recognize that our success in constructing an ever more perfect nation will depend upon the continuous expansion of our population. We accept that the only way we can reset the American Dream as a truly democratic reality is by recruiting more Americans to our noble mission.
So, we act and we advocate. We introduce others to the promise of the Neonaissance and to the obstacles that stand in its way. We show them the legacy they can create for their kids and grandkids and the duty they must accept to realize it. And, we invite them to join us in this quest, to add their passion and power to ours and to the achievement of Unconditional Actualization For All.
Illustrative Actions
As with our efforts to overcome the Titanicity, the acts we take to grow our community are limited only by our imagination and ingenuity, our conviction and commitment. The following examples, therefore, are meant to be illustrative and food for thought as you determine how you will encourage others to become citizen-activists.
As an Individual
Start a book club. Bring others to OneStoryforAll.com and encourage them to download and read Neonaissance. Then, set up regular meetings with all those who are interested and use the book to guide discussions of the reason for citizen-activism and the mission of citizen-activists. Take advantage of the Learnings in the Education Center to shape the conversation and promote understanding. Help each participant to see the threat the Titanicity poses to themselves and their family and the role they can play, both as an individual and in a group, to counter and defeat that threat.
As Part of a Group
With the permission of the organizers, assemble a group of citizen-activists to staff booths at local fairs and other public gatherings. Use them to tell people about the opportunity we have in America to open the Neonaissance and the challenge the Titanicity poses to its realization. Model support for the planet by not distributing paper-based products that contribute to global warming, but instead, take them online to OneStoryforAll.com. Show them the resources on the site and encourage them to visit and take advantage of it. For those who decline, ask if they will provide their email address so they can be updated from time-to-time on what citizen-activists are doing in their community to prepare for a better future in America.
